ACIAG Honored by the FIA for Its Commitment to Mobility Innovation

The Commercial and Industrial Association of Aparecida de Goiânia (ACIAG) has been recognized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for its significant efforts and investments in the field of mobility. This prestigious award was presented during a ceremony in Panama City on the last Saturday, February 3rd, marking a significant achievement for ACIAG and its leadership in promoting sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.

Present at the event were ACIAG President Max Coelho, Secretary of Industry and Commerce of Aparecida Felismar Martins, and Director of Foreign Relations Humberto Kennedy, who represented Brazil at the award ceremony. Their attendance underscores the significant role ACIAG plays not only within the local community but also on a regional and global scale.

According to President Coelho, the recognition from the FIA serves as a testament to the pivotal role played by ACIAG and the City Hall of Aparecida in fostering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. “From initiatives aimed at improving road infrastructure to programs raising awareness about public and alternative transportation, ACIAG and the City Hall have led efforts to create a more accessible, efficient, and eco-friendly environment for all its citizens,” he stated.

Looking forward, the ceremony hinted at an ambitious regional initiative: the potential development of Formula 4 Panama. Spearheaded by co-founders Ronald Chang and Jorge Galvez, this project aims to provide a structured pathway for talented young drivers to ascend to the highest levels of motorsport.

ACIAG’s achievements in the mobility sector are numerous. The association has led a commercial mission to Mexico to explore an electric vehicle industry with the potential of bringing a manufacturing plant to Aparecida. Furthermore, negotiations are underway to implement the first oval racetrack in Brazil within their municipality, alongside investments in urban mobility promoted by the City Hall.

This accolade from the FIA highlights ACIAG’s commitment to enhancing mobility not just locally but as an influencer in the global arena. The recognition reflects the association’s dedication to improving quality of life and economic efficiency through sustainable transport solutions. ACIAG’s proactive approach includes exploring innovative technologies and fostering partnerships that can bring substantial benefits to Aparecida de Goiânia and beyond.

Additionally, ACIAG’s efforts extend to integrating environmental considerations into their mobility strategies. This holistic approach ensures that the advancements in infrastructure and new technologies not only cater to current needs but also safeguard the environment for future generations.

The ceremony in Panama was not just a moment of recognition for ACIAG; it was also a platform for sharing best practices and learning from other global leaders in mobility. The insights gained from such interactions are invaluable as they help refine local strategies and ensure that they align with international standards and expectations.

Looking ahead, ACIAG plans to continue its dynamic approach to mobility. The association aims to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible in transportation, making Aparecida de Goiânia a benchmark city in terms of mobility innovation and sustainability.

This prestigious international award from the FIA not only honors the past achievements of ACIAG but also sets a precedent for future initiatives. It is a call to action for other regions and cities to look towards Aparecida de Goiânia as a model for mobility excellence and innovation.
