Concessionaire suspends payment of tolls on highways in Rio Grande do Sul | Estadão Mobility |
2 min readSince Sunday, 5th, fare collection on tolls managed by CCR ViaSul is suspended. The fare was released on highways BR-101 (Três Cachoeiras), Freeway (Santo Antônio da Patrulha and Gravataí) and BR-386 (Montenegro, Paverama, Fontoura Xavier and Victor Graeff). Rio Grande do Sul has been suffering for a week with heavy rains and flooding throughout the state.
According to Civil Defense, 341 of the State’s 497 cities were affected by current weather conditions. With the release of the toll, CCR hopes to “help supply and access the most affected regions”, they state in a note.
According to a text released by the company, drivers still need to stop for registration, which gives access to exemption at manual payment booths. For the automatic payment method (tag and free flow), the exemption happens automatically.
CCR ViaSul also advises drivers to avoid using the highways during this period. “If necessary, do so by seeking alternative paths”, they indicate. For more information, the company has made contact available via Dial CCR ViaSul on 0800 000 0290 or via WhatsApp (51) 3303-3858.
