How to get there by train?

The Engenho de Dentro Olympic Station is the closest to the stadium, less than a two-minute walk from the southern sector of Engenhão. THE Superhighway, the company that manages the city’s train service, established a special travel system for singer Bruno Mars’s days in Rio.

According to the company, on Wednesday (16), the trains will make direct trips from the Central do Brasil station to the Engenho de Dentro Olympic Station. The times will be the same as on weekdays. Trains will depart from platform 4, with 40-minute intervals between 4:50 pm and 8 pm. On Saturday and Sunday the timetable remains normal, with trains leaving platform 6 at 30-minute intervals between 4pm and 8pm.

As reported by SuperVia, after the show ends, all stations will only be open for disembarking. The Engenho de Dentro Olympic Station will be open until 00:30, also for boarding.

How to get there by metro?

Nilton Santos Stadium is 40 minutes from Botafogo metro station. One of the alternatives is to take the metro to the Central Station and join the Supervia towards Japeri/Santa Cruz to the Engenho de Dentro Olympic Station. For show days, the MetrôRio organized a special operating scheme for those who intend to go to shows by subway.

According to the company, on the three days of the presentation, boarding times at Estação Central do Brasil/Centro will be extended. Throughout the Bruno Mars show days, line 2 will operate between Pavuna and Botafogo, and lines 1 and 4 will follow the Uruguay-Jardim Oceânico/Barra da Tijuca route. Transfers between lines 1 and 2 can also happen on the stretch between Central do Brasil/Centro and Botafogo stations. Another option is to get off the metro at Del Castilho, Maria da Graça or Inhaúma and take a bus or taxi.

According to MetrôRio, when the show returns, the stations on lines 1 and 4 towards Uruguai/Tijuca or towards Jardim Oceânico/Barra da Tijuca will continue to operate, starting from the Central do Brasil/Centro station. Line 2, towards Pavuna, will also be available. There will be no integration with urban trains at the Maracanã and São Cristóvão stations of MetrôRio on the presentation days, only at the Central do Brasil/Centro station.

How to get there by bus?

Currently, several lines serve the area around the Nilton Santos Stadium, depending on the departure location in the city. The Union of Bus Companies of the City of Rio de Janeiro (RioÔnibus) indicates lines 238, 254, 277, 346, 353, 383, 543L, 606, 636, 638, 639, 652, 669, 676, 680 and 692. The route can be checked on the bus.rio platform, managed by the City of Rio de Janeiro. The app is available for Android and iOS.

Other lines also leave on nearby roads, such as Avenida Dom Hélder Camara, Avenida Amaro Cavalcanti and Rua Piauí, for example.

How to get there by car and where to park?

According to Botafogo, the Nilton Santos Stadium is accessible via roads such as Linha Amarela, Rua Piauí and Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara. To park, the driver has options at Norte Shopping and Shopping Nova América, about six minutes from the stadium. Engenhão itself also has parking (Norte 1, located on Rua das Oficinas), with prices that vary according to the event.
