Although it has not yet been officially launched in the country, the Triumph Tiger 1200 2024 already appears on the English brand’s website in Brazil. Recently presented abroad, the renewed Tiger 1200 arrives in the country in four versions. In addition to the Rally Pro, GT Explorer and Rally Explorer versions, the Tiger 1200 2024 arrives at Brazilian dealerships in the GT Pro version, with a price starting at R$99,990.

Previously, the most affordable version, Rally Pro, cost R$107,990. In other words, in addition to receiving improvements, the Tiger 1200 arrives at a lower price than the 2023 model. Everything to compete with the new BMW R 1300 GS. After all, the price of the GT Pro version of the Tiger 1200 is exactly the same as the GS 1300 entry.

The Tiger 1200 family is divided into two lines, GT and Rally. The main difference between them is the wheels. The GT, an acronym for gran turismo, more aimed at adventures on asphalt, uses light alloy wheels, 19 in front and 18 in the rear. The Rally line features 21-inch spoked wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear, with longer travel suspensions, which makes it more suitable for off-road use.

Within each family, there is also the Explorer version, which has a larger tank – 30 liters – and more technology. The Pro version has a 21-liter tank, as well as a good electronics package.

Presented in 2022, the new generation of Tiger 1200 brought major changes to the adventurous English brand. The model lost weight, gained a more powerful engine, in addition to receiving new technologies, such as a radar system and electronic suspensions.

What is the Tiger 1200 2024 like?

Now, for 2024, Triumph has made improvements to the Tiger 1200 family. According to the English brand, the bigtrail has become even more advanced and refined. The updates include improvements to the engine, as well as changes that ensure more comfort.

The engine maintained the same base as the 2023 model, with three cylinders, 1,160 cc, which produces 150 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 13.26 m.kgf of torque at 7,000 revolutions. However, it received changes to the crankshaft, alternator rotor and balancer in order to increase the engine’s inertia. As a result, according to Triumph, torque delivery and control at low speeds became smoother and more precise.

Another change intended to increase the smoothness of operation of the triple engine is the new clutch design. According to Triumph, riders will experience a smoother engagement when shifting into first gear.

Additionally, the clutch has a longer lever, which provides more space for your fingers, adding more comfort, especially on longer journeys.

The seat has also been redesigned with a flatter profile, providing more space for the driver, which will help reduce fatigue over long distances.

Triumph has also increased the cornering ground clearance of the Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer models by raising the footpeg positions.

Now, the new Active Preload Reduction feature is available for the entire Tiger 1200 family. The system automatically reduces rear suspension preload when the motorcycle slows to a stop, reducing the seat height by up to 20 mm.

Tiger 1200 2024: prices and versions in Brazil

As previously stated, Triumph will bring four versions of the 2024 Tiger 1200 to the country. They will be: GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer and Rally Explorer. The main differences between them are the size and material of the wheels, in addition to the tank capacity.

Rally Explorer is the most expensive version of the Tiger 1200 2024: suggested price is R$122,490
